In the summer of 2012 Merson i-level completed the installation of temporary wayfinding signage for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, working with branding agency ICON.
Every location in United Kingdom including Stadiums, public areas, back-of-house areas and training facilities were included within i-level’s scope as was the transition of signage when venues where changing from one event to the next and the much larger transition of Olympic signage to Paralympic signage in the run up to the Paralympic Games. The i-level team worked both day and night to respond to client requests at short notice.
With hundreds of thousands of spectators entering Olympic venues each day, in many cases it was i-level’s job to work through the night to ensure that venues were ready for the next day’s events. Overall i-level installed 80,000 temporary signs in 79 venues across London and the UK, including the Olympic Stadium, Olympic Park, Greenwich Park, O2 and Wimbledon.
